The international leading airplane producers, Boeing, is racing face to face with SpaceX company for the right to be the first private company that launching manned spaceship to outer space.
In this phase it seems that Boeing stays behind SpaceX, just after Boeing announced they delayed the date for their first scheduled manned mission, from 2017 to 2018. The delay caused due to a few issues in the schedule of project Starliner, the under-development spaceship of Boeing, those according to the Boeing’s spokeswoman.
Meanwhile, in SpaceX, the company that led by the billionaire Elon Musk, keep their aim to launch a first manned mission in 2017. The company’s Dragon Space capsule is already used successfully in few unmanned mission to carry supplies to the International Space Station.
According to SpaceX reports, the Dragon Space need to pass few more tests till it will be appropriate for a manned mission using in 2017, according to the company’s forecast.
Actually, this race is more about honor- who will be the company that reach the title of “first human carrier to space” - more than a proper business-related issue. The American space agency, NASA, is already signed contracts with the 2 company, Boeing and SpaceX, to use their services for carry the US astronauts to outer space.
Since 2011, when the last space shuttle of NASA launched, the American agency used the services of the Russian space agency to take their astronauts to space. We can assume that the people of NASA are eagerly waiting for the 2 American company will complete their developments and tests, and it just a matter of time since NASA will send again missions using both carriers.
