The Bank of England's decisions on key interest rates and monetary policy comes out at noon local time, which is 7 a.m. ET. It is expected to keep rates unchanged.
China will post its first quarter GDP at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday -- or 10 a.m. local time on Friday.

Chesapeake Energy, Burberry: Shares in Chesapeake Energy (CHK) are pulling back in premarket trading after they skyrocketed by about 60% earlier this week. Investors bid shares higher as worries subsided about a liquidity crunch at the oil and natural gas company.
Shares in Burberry (BURBY) are dropping by about 8% in London trading, making them the worst performer on the FTSE 100. Investors are selling after the fashion company reported worse-than-expected half year results.
