Canada releases better than expected data on Friday
Canada's jobs report was a bomb.
The Canadian labor market added 40,600 jobs in March, crushing expectations.
In addition, the unemployment rate fell to 7.1%, down from the previous month's 7.3%.
Economists were forecasting that 10,000 jobs were added and that the unemployment rate held steady at 7.3%.
Data under the hood showed that Canada added 35,300 full time jobs and 5,300 part-time jobs.
