In order to learn to build your time table as efficient as possible you need to follow these simple steps:
1. Where are you wasting your time?
2. Understand that time management doesn’t really exist.
3. Use tools for time management.
4. Make up a plan.
5. Hit goals.
6. Set time limits.
7. Prioritize.
8. Delegate what is possible.
9. Stock to your routines.
10. Do waste time on waiting.
11. Be sure to be organized.
1. Where are you wasting your time?
Before trying to set up your time management schedule, you need to look and see – where do you waste your time? Do you spend too much time on the phone? Do you waste it by scrolling Facebook? Do you take too many selfies?
Surveys say that about 62 percent of all people waste 30-60 minutes per day. That is simply enough to put down several winning trades, don’t you think? So, seeing where and what on your time is wasted is going to help you correct your performance in the future.
2. Understand that time management doesn’t really exist.
Ok, that does sound a little bit weird, but there are always 24 hours a day and no matter how well you manage your time, that is not going to change, so, the faster you are going to understand that every second is precious, the more efficient your time skills are going to be.
3. Use tools for time management.
In order to feel the time, you need to have certain time management tools. You can set your alarms, or you can download several programs which are going to remind you about the passing of the time. That way it is going to be harder for you to waste too much time as you are going to be constantly reminded about it.
4. Make up a plan.
Think of it this way – everything goes better when it has a plan. And why would time management be any different? You need to make up a plan. For example, you can shorten the time that you allow yourself to be in Facebook day by day. Today it may be 30 minutes for the day, tomorrow 25, the day after that only 20. That is how you are going to see yourself hitting goals and are going to see the results right away.
5. Hit goals.
As long as we are talking about goals, you need to hit them. It is pivotal, as setting up a plan is not enough. You need to understand that time management is only going to be effective in case you are sticking to the plan and hit certain points.
6. Set time limits.
Think of this as an extension of the points number 4 and 5. Essentially your plans have to be a gathering of time limits, that you eventually need to implement. But do not start off with strict restrictions and limitations. That is only going to throw you off and out too much pressure on your productivity.
And remember, if needed all of the limits can be lifted. After all we are all people. sometimes we need to throw all of the rules to the wind.
7. Prioritize.
Putting prioritization on your tasks is going to significantly improve your day. You are going to see important tasks behind the gathering of all of the little ones. Although sometimes we simply need to get over with all of the small details in order to focus on the important. In any case – prioritize your day.
8. Delegate what is possible.
That works if you are a boss J. You can delegate some of your tasks to the people who really know how to do them. Of course, you are not going to let your accountant out trades for you, but something less significant – simple.
9. Stick to your routines.
Especially after you wake up, it is important to have a routine that is going to help you get in tune with the day. But do not spend too much time on picking your outfit or having your breakfast. That way your whole day can be thrown off by being late to work. Not good… not good.
10. Do waste time on waiting.
With modern technologies you can pretty much trade anything anywhere, and it is only fair to say that YOU ARE going to have to wait for something at some point. So, why waste? You can easily go online, pout trades, read up on the news or sign up with the trading signals provider. All of the possibilities are in your phone, with you 24/7.
11. Be sure to be organized.
All of the previous points essentially lead us to that. You need to keep your head clean and your mood organized. You need to understand the time flow and your possibilities. You need to be organized, so that you can find any information any time. Keeping everything in order is also going to eliminate panic, which can also take a lot of time. Especially in the world of trading.
