You always have a choice – work a little more or go home? Take some overtime or go to the movies? Come in on a holiday or go to the park with your kids? Put down one more trade or go to sleep. It seems that our lives turned into an unending battle between money and time. And even though both of them are pretty important we still have to ask ourselves – what is more important to us? Time or money?
Time:
1. You can rest to make more money.
2. Your family is going to have more time with you.
3. You can develop to be better at your job.
1. You can rest to make more money.
If you get off work as usual and even a bit earlier you can rest, go to bed earlier and be well-rested in the morning for you to be more productive at work the next day. After all we make a lot of mistakes and work too slowly when we haven’t had enough sleep the night before. And why did we go to bed too late? Because we didn’t have enough time to finish our home tasks. Just a couple more hours and you would be all set.
2. Your family is going to have more time with you.
While money is very important nothing is going to substitute your son a memory of your throwing a ball with him in the park. Nothing is going to become a substitute for a romantic dinner and a walk with your wife or husband. Money can’t buy all that. No one is going to spend time with your family but you. And the less attention you pay to them, the more you are going to regret it later.
3. You can develop to be better at your job.
At your job you probably do not have time to get new knowledge. You are probably stuck with doing your tasks and that is pretty much it. But outside of your office you can develop and gain new knowledge in order to be more successful at your job. The more you know the faster you are going to climb that social ladder.
The less time you spend at your desk. The more time you have for self-development.
Money.
1. You can hire help.
2. Your family is never going to be in need.
3. You can create your own product.
4. You can do everything.
1. You can hire help.
With a lot of money, you can hire people to help around the house and with the workload. A lot of assistants are going to make your life a bit more chaotic, but a lot easier when it comes to getting things done.
2. Your family is never going to be in need.
While spending time with your family is a good cause, never having your family struggle is just as important. Maybe even more important. Having something to clothe themselves in, what to eat and where to live – they are going to be eternally grateful to you for these opportunities.
3. You can create your own product.
Developing is good and there is no end to self-perfecting, but in the end it all comes to desire to earn and work for yourself. And in case you have a potential and imagination to create something for yourself you are going to need a lot of money – security that is going to ensure that you can give time to your creation and not focus on every-day-job.
4. You can do everything.
Travel. Focus on yourself, get to meet new people, develop, give jobs to others – money gives you unlimited potential and power over this world. In the end you need to decide what is more important to you – security or comfort.
