It is no secret that nowadays we have reached that level where our lives are not really our own. Our behavior is determined by how we perceive power and how we perceive society and vice versa. And the better we understand the concept of world power the better we are going to do in life. And in order to understand who is the most powerful we need to look at the toughest and the most powerful countries of the world. Their leaders are going to be the ones who are ruling the world.
Note, that the countries in the list are not rated according to their economic power, but rather by their ability to rule and correct geopolitical climate of the world.
The first part of our research is here in case you missed it.
5. UK.
4. Germany.
3. China.
2. Russia.
1. USA.
5. UK.
Of course the reputation as well as political and economic power of the country has taken a significant blow in the past few years due to the whole Brexit process and very bad prognosis on post-Brexit economic future of this former empire but this doesn’t really make the country any less significant and influential.
And imagine how much power and influence the country has if even a major political fail cannot take it down from the pedestal. All of the major political organizations can’t deem to be complete without the UK. It is the country opinion of which is always interesting and valued in the world arena.
4. Germany.
Well of course we couldn’t let ourselves forget about the biggest and strongest economy in the whole Europe. Having rebuild the country after the WWII Germany managed to go higher to the ranks of the one of the most powerful country on Earth. Its national economy is supporting the whole of EU and without it no decisions can be made.
It is the most populous country of the EU and one of the largest and most developed economies of the world. Economy of the EU is practically synonymous with German economy.
Germany is a unique example of the country that came up from the ashes.
3. China.
Well of course, the lowest point in the leading three was going to be occupied by China. The fastest growing nation, the Chinese managed to make their country into a production hub for the whole world. Of course as we all know ‘Chinese’ is not exactly a perfect word to explain ‘quality’. More often it is quite the contrary actually. But even despite this China is the force to be reckoned with.
One of the oldest civilization of the world China was always a pretty influential country but now with its economy on the rise it is even more true.
Probably the only country in the world that can say – communism works.
2. Russia.
Russia has lost a lot of its mojo through the years. Since 2014 its economy has been on a steady decline. But due to the fact that Russia is the largest country in the world it is easy to imagine how much resources is harbored in its borders. That is the way that Russia holds its influence – gas and oil – two of the most important resources in the world. And I am not going to even say anything about gold, silver, diamonds and more rear commodities some of which can be only found in Russia.
Russian power can also be found in its military – people are ready to go and die for their country. But in truth they are only willing to do that because of the enormous propaganda machine working in the country.
All and all despite failing economy and a whole desolation of the country Russia remains the second most powerful country in the world.
1. USA.
Could there be any other country here? I doubt that there is any possibility that the first spot is going to be occupied by any other country rather than USA. America has gone into every aspect of our lives. And it is now pretty deep in our bones even if we live ocean away from the country.
Not only USD – national currency of USA – is the ultimate world currency and American economy is the example of success, but we also let American culture and products deep into our lives. Think about it. FRIENDS, Avengers, Star Wars, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, peanut butter, Apple, Microsoft… this is tiny-tiny part of what we have let America impose on us over the last 30 years. And the further we go, the easier it is for America to influence our lives.
But that is the world that we have to live in.
