The last day of trading week has come and the weekend has almost taken its rightful place. We can finally unwind and relax after such a tough week. After all, the week was pretty tough on us and we can say that we haven’t seen this much action for several weeks, that’s for sure.
But sometimes we tend to take on too much during the two days we have off from trading and this means that the next week begins with us not being rested and ready for action. And that is just not how things should be done.
So, I present to you several things that you can do over the weekend in order to properly relax and unwind.
1. Workout.
2. Yoga.
3. Meditation.
4. Read a book.
5. Take a walk in a park.
6. Have a date night.
7. DO NOT go on your computer.
1. Workout.
Who has the time for gym, right? We are too busy with our trading to go to the gym and to enjoy our trading properly. But the weekend is a magical time where you can stop worrying that while you bench press the chart is going lower and lower and you lose all your money. On the weekend you can take as much time on a treadmill as you want. It is your time.
2. Yoga.
If you do not feel like a grueling workout, then you need to find the alternative and still make your body work. For that you can implement yoga into your life. It is not only going to give your muscles tonus and life, but also is going to help you feel incredibly relaxed.
3. Meditation.
A great addition to that yoga session, by the way. But it can work as a self-standing practice as well.
Slow breathing, relaxing music, scented candles, you and your thoughts – that is what meditation is all about. You are alone with your own thoughts and no one can bother you. Meditating is a really good way to recharge your batteries after a work day and an even better way to recharge your brain on the weekends.
4. Read a book.
This point is more standard than the others, granted, but if it works, why change it?
How long has it been since you have read a real novel? Do you have a book that you bought a long time ago and now are looking for a spare minute to at least open it and sniff in that scent of a new book? Do it tonight! What bad can come out of it? You going to be happy and relaxed?
5. Take a walk in a park.
Walking in the park can be refreshing and relaxing. You can engage in bird-watching and listening, you can try and look for squirrels to feed from the palm of your hand or you can go to the playground with your kids. Whatever it is you do during a walk in the park, it is going to be a true classically relaxing experience for you.
6. Have a date night.
Make sure to make time for your significant other. Take them out to a nice place or just go out to the peer to watch the sun set. Let them be there for you and listen to their stories as well. Spending some quality time with your beloved is going to remind of all of the reasons for you to work harder – to make life even better for those you love and cherish.
7. DO NOT go on your computer.
Stay away from your computer. No, I am serious. Are you not feeling that you are getting enough screen time during the week? I am sure that on regular week nights you long for computer-less time. Yet on the weekend it is just luring you in. Resist and you are truly going to feel the full effect of the weekend rushing over you.
