Education is very important. And I am talking about every kind of education. Post-diploma as well. Developing and education yourself is the greatest secret to achieving success in modern world. But with progress comes the possibility to self-educate and self-develop. And we need to understand whether we need facilitated education or whether we can do it ourselves.
Here are all of the pros for both of the points.
Self-educating.
1. It’s free.
2. You have you own schedule.
3. There is no annoying class-mates.
4. The only motivation is your desire.
1. It’s free.
Well, for most part. Of course some of the diplomas are expensive and you need to pay in order to have the possibility pass the test, but there is high chance that you can find materials for studying completely free of charge. Plus, you do not have to pay the teacher – you are the teacher.
2. You have you own schedule.
There is no rush. You can do everything on your own accord and on your own time. You do not have to take the time out of your day on the road, you do not have to rush to get to class and you do not have to skip information that you can’t quite understand just because the teacher decided to move on with the topic. You can read everything again and again until you have a full understanding of the matter at hand.
3. There is no annoying class-mates.
Remember that know-it-all at the first front and center desk in your class.
Boy, were they annoying.
Well, guess what. When you are self-educating, there is no way that you are going to be annoyed by the likes of them once again, as there are no classmates for you. Only you and your laptop. No one is going to take too long to answer the question, no one is going to be late and no one is going to distract you. After all, we all are grown-ups and stuff like that is supposed to be left back in school. There is no place for it on the grown up world.
4. The only motivation is your desire.
You are the only one who pushes and motivates you. Nothing and no one else can force you to keep on learning what you think you don’t want or don’t need to learn. Your word is the only true one.
Facilitated:
1. There is discipline.
2. You feel differently.
3. You are never going to misunderstand things.
4. You get all of the necessary materials.
1. There is discipline.
You are going to have the time table of the classes and lectures, where are going to be forced to listen. You are paying for it, so you are going to want to get everything out of the lecture. Plus, a little bit of discipline is not going to hurt you in this chaotic world.
2. You feel differently.
Whatever you say, facilitated education has one huge plus – it feels as if you are doing and learning something. You are going to class and probably get some home assignments. It does feel like an educational process and not just sitting in front of your laptop in your underwear. You feel worthy of the knowledge you are getting. And that is worth a lot.
3. You are never going to misunderstand things.
You can always ask the lecturer what things mean and how to answer a certain question. You can always do that and never leave the class room without full understanding of the matter. It is very important as sometimes holes in knowledge and understanding can lead to you missing out on some very important knowledge.
4. You get all of the necessary materials.
When you go to class, you get everything you need for getting all of the knowledge on the matter. You get all the papers and all the books that you can possibly need. You are not going to have to search the web and look for a certain book for hours. You get everything at once and so are you are ready to get all of the knowledge you need in order to become successful in the nearest future.
