Saving money is not an easy task. Most of us have to limit ourselves in the daily spendingы and in luxurious things. We stop having coffee and going out to eat. We limit our entertainment and only buy what is necessary.
And of course it is not fun.
But I can say, that there are other ways for you to save up a lot of money in a short period of time.
1. Bring food to the office.
2. Purchase store-brand version of your favorite products.
3. Sell what you do not need/use.
4. Insure your things.
5. Enjoy time with your friends in a bunch-brunch.
6. Buy things in bulk.
7. Use apps.
8. Use a bicycle whenever possible.
9. Divide.
1. Bring food to the office.
Outside lunches are eating up a lot of our money without us even noticing this. And leftovers are the usual things that you can find in your fridge. Why not combine these two? It is not uncommon to bring you own lunch to work. Plus, you are definitely going to be healthier this way as you get to stick to your diet and your preferences.
2. Purchase store-brand versions of your favorite products.
A lot of shops nowadays produce their own bread, cheese, sausages and other products like soap and washing powder. And you can easily buy those as the stores tend to make these products good so that not to damage their reputation and not to lose their customers.
Plus, there is a pleasant bonus – these products are always cheaper.
3. Sell what you do not need/use.
Spring cleaning doesn’t need to happen in the spring, although that is right in the name.
Anyway. You can clean out your apartment and garage, find what you do not use, and sell to the people selling stuff in the flee markets. They are going to make a profit off selling it for a little but more money. Plus, if you happen to stumble upon something old and valuable you can always sell it to collectors and museums.
4. Insure your things.
Insurance is going to initially cost you money, but if something is going to happen to your valuables, you are not going to be completely at a loss. Of course, your car and your apartment are probably insured as they are, but what about your jewelry and other valuable things? I think that insuring those is going to go a long way and is going to put your mind at ease.
5. Enjoy time with your friends in a bunch-brunch.
Gathering up with your friends is a nice thing. It is super easy and super fun. But going out, as we have already established, costs quite a lot of money. But it is good that there is a fix for this problem – you can all cook together and split the costs. Or each of you can bring something to the table for their own money. This way you are going to have a lot of fun, but not going to spend a lot of money. And there is not going to be too much cooking and cleaning for one.
Win-win-win.
6. Buy things in bulk.
You are still going to use all of those shampoos, bath gels and soaps. You are going to eat pickles, corn and frozen chicken at some point. Why not buy these things in bulk then? It is going to be cheaper and you are not going to have to worry about having this stuff for the future.
7. Use apps.
There are apps that can help you save and multiply. For example, an app that is going to take the change out of your credit card and invest it in the best asset without you even having to worry about it. Before you know it, your spare change has turned into some real amount of money and even multiplied. Isn’t that cool?
8. Use a bicycle whenever possible.
It is especially true if you have your own bicycle. You are not going to have to spend money on gas and you are going to have a lot of fun. Plus, no need to buy a gym membership and do cardio – that is just multiple threat to your spending.
9. Divide.
Try and really divide what you need from what you want and try and only spend money on the first group of products. Of course, I am not saying that you need to totally cut yourself off from splurging, but understanding the difference between the two and limiting yourself is going to go a long way.
